Jason Scott's Weblog

Hello Friends —

…it’s been a while.

Expect that you will be hearing a lot from me, about a lot of things, very shortly.  I’ve missed our little chats, and anyone who thinks my hand or heart has been stilled can either rejoice or cower, as necessary.

As a peace offering, I invite you to see the rejected/cancelled artwork for Leather Goddesses of Phobos.

Leather Goddesses of Phobos

I have a backlog that would bring tears to the face of a statue.  I will be quite active knocking it down over the next period of time.

Talk soon. Talk very, very soon.

    Jason, you need to interview this guy. First, read this for context: http://www.mentalfloss.com/blogs/archives/15131. It’s about the Polaroid a day. A few people asked about the camera, so the blogger posted a followup about it: http://www.mentalfloss.com/blogs/archives/15231. The first comment to that post is by a Polaroid engineer, Mike, who basically says to interview him: “If you plan any follow-on pieces on this subject, I have a wealth of memories and events that led up to the production of the SX-70, including the sonar auto-focus version released in 1978.”. The blogger has yet to follow-up on this, it seems.

    Probably not the best place to put this but I just got my Get Lamp documentary and love it. Wow. I really don’t have enough time right now to say all the cool things about it, and I didn’t even watch it yet.

    The coin and the case and the CD and the overall presentation is better than anything you would get from Disney, or any other big name company. I really don’t know how he does this.

    The only thing I disagree with is the statement on the cover that says, “If I can do a multi-DVD film about text adventures, you can do a film about anything that you want to.” All I can say is no way. You underestimate your skills, and I don’t even know how a team under 100 could pull this off.

    Thanks for great quality yet again.

  5. “and anyone who thinks my hand or heart has been stilled can either rejoice”…

    Why Jason, who wants you dead now?

    I hear you will have more time on your hands for a while.. why not help me find WBBS… (;

    Some folks contributed money for your so-called sabbatical. Perhaps you should “reward” them with a thoughtful blog post every week or so.

    Y’know. Courtesy.

    He’s been posting at inventory.getlamp.com virtually every day, as well as making updates to the actual Sabbatical mailing list, which I guess you’re not on.
