The Sony EX-1 camcorder (~$6500) takes interchangeable lenses, including 35mm camera lenses, using an adapter. I’m not sure that means you can necessarily achieve the precise depth-of-field selection that the Letus does, but I’m not sure it doesn’t.

Jason, why not buy a camera where the lens screw off? Sure it costs 7 times more than the HV20, but it just takes that painful need of adapters and plug-in microphones off.
