After much running about I have found relief from gout using safe natural therapies based on ayurveda, resonance homeopathy and herbs.
Advances in natural medicines and clinical trials have now made it possible develop therapies which give quick relief and cure from gout symptoms and prevent recurrence. You must have a look at Biogetica's (VCA Pro C, T24, C38) simple yet brilliant method, they maintain optimal levels of uric acid in the body and excrete excess fluid from the body. Their anti-inflammatory properties reduce pain and inflammation.

The part about being propped up in front of a television or computer for a couple of days sounded pretty good. The pain part, not so much. Get to feeling better!

Hey, sorry to hear your about your gout episode. I have very occasional, very mild ( relative to what you're suffering ) gout in my big toe joints.
My wife taught me a bit of a hack which helps relieve the pain a bit more quickly: Club Soda!
I know, seems weird, but club soda contains soda bicarbonate, which raises the pH in your body (urine included) , which increases the solubility of the uric acid.

Anyways, I'm not a doc, your mileage may vary, consult a physician etc. And of course, you may know this already...

On the plus side, we understand gout well enough now to make you feel bad for not working hard enough at reducing your risk factors. Of course, one of the risk factors is genetic so no blame there. Lucky you.
